Course Description & Details

This course discusses significant changes from the 2021 IECC that have been incorporated into the 2024 IECC. Some of the content for these lessons was pulled from a 2021/2024 IECC certification preparation class, therefore you will hear some references to preparing to take the ICC IECC plans examiner and inspector certification exam. If you are interested in studying to take this certification exam, that course will be available on this platform in the near future.

Course Objectives

Learn the new energy codes related to knee walls
Be introduced to the significant changes to the additional energy efficiency requirements under the prescriptive path
Discover the new requirements in the air barrier, air sealing and insulation installation table
Understand the changes to duct system insulation
