The Total UA compliance alternative uses a software modeling protocol allow for prescriptive R-value and U-value tradeoffs making the compliance process more flexible for builders and architects. This class is a live demonstration of software modeling using the energycodes.gov REScheck software developed by PNNL. Using a simple building plan we walk the audience through how to input a house into the software and how tradeoffs could be achieved to determine compliance with the IECC and how this will change with the LECC.
